The librarys summer hours are in effect. The library will close at 2 p.m. Saturdays. All other hours remain the same. Summer hours will continue through Labor Day.

Join Ccutter coach Kathi Miller at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, for Downsizing?: Lets Get Started. Whether considering your own move to a new home or assisting a relative, downsizing can be a challenge. Kathi Miller will share her expertise to help navigate the transition. Learn what to take, what to leave behind, and how to go about deciding. No registration necessary.

The Summer Library Program registration begins Monday, June 12. The Summer Library Program opens at 6:30 p.m. with a performance by Kohls Wild Theater: The Great Global Extravaganza.

Drop in at the library every Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. for a movie on the giant screen and high-definition projector. This weeks film Friday, June 9, is a 1976 comedy mystery about five famous literary detective characters and their sidekicks who are invited to a bizarre mansion to solve an even stranger mystery. The film stars Peter Falk, Alec Guinnessand Peter Sellers. All movies are free and open to everyone.

Be sure to stop by the library and check out the many new and exciting tech items that you can try out at home. From Wi-Fi hotspots and Google Chromecasts to streaming media devices with Netflix and Acorn availability to Playaway Launchpads. The library will also soon add new Launchpads for adults with Brain Games, such as memory games, cards and crosswords and new Kindle Paperwhite eReaders. Be sure to ask for information at the reference desk.

LGBTQ 101:6 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, speakers from OutReach, south central Wisconsins LGBTQ Community Center, lead a discussion on topics such as terminology; what it means to be LGBTQ, pronoun preferences, challenges faced by the LGBTQ unique community, ways to show support and more. Free and open to everyone. No registration necessary.

Senior Gala:Sponsored by the Alice Baker Memorial Library in Eagle and the Mukwonago Community Library, those 55 and older are invited to join for an after-hours gala at MCL at 6 p.m. Friday, June 9. The evening will include music, dancing and food. Semiformal attire is required. Call Mukwonago Community Library at 262-363-6411 to register.
